Does the amount of diamonds on the exogrid matter how good the bat is?

This doesn’t matter. They are only different because they are used in different leauges. The -3 is used for high school and up and the -5 is used for the younger leagues and some summer leagues for older kids.

The number of diamonds has nothing to do with the quality of the bat. It is just the way the bat is painted.The only difference is the -5/8.5 is used for summer leagues (generally younger than 14) where as the -3 is used for high school and above.
